The Role
Hadrian is rapidly scaling autonomous factories to support programs in aerospace, national security, and advanced manufacturing. We’re looking for Estimators with deep experience in machining and/or advanced manufacturing in fast-paced environment who are excited to help build a next-generation estimation function.
What you’ll own
You will be responsible for technical DFM (design-for-manufacturability) analysis, quote generation, and technical risk assessments. You will contribute to improving our DFM and quoting systems, including using historical data to increase quote accuracy and accelerate DFM analyses. You will work with factory teams to ensure feasibility and recommend best fit manufacturing processes. You have exceptional technical acumen, are highly detail-oriented, and take an extreme ownership approach to assessing what enters the factory.
What you’ll do
Conduct technical DFM (design-for-manufacturability) analysis, including reviewing drawings, models, materials, and technical specifications to assess fit.
Create accurate quotes for internal and customer-facing consumption, incorporating machine time, raw materials, tooling, programming, labor, and vendor inputs.
Leverage factory data to improve accuracy, speed, and systematization of DFM and quote workflows.
Work with CAM and CMM programmers and engineers to incorporate downstream machining expertise into team processes, tools, and risk assessments.
Requirements
3+ years experience with CNC machining and/or CAM programming
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Proficient using ERP systems
Proficient conducting cost modeling and producing accurate quotes in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Excellent attention-to-detail; crisp technical communicator
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience interfacing closely with Sales, Presales Engineering, CAM and CMM Programming teams. You may also be a great fit if you were/are a CAM Programmer today.
Experience in machining materials, tools, factory operations, CMM Programming
Experience working in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment
Compensation
For this role, the target salary range is $76,000 - $145,000 (actual range may vary based on experience and performance).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
